Welcome to the XI SIMEXMIN!
The Brazilian Symposium on Mineral Exploration – SIMEXMIN is a biannual event organized by the Agency for the Development and Innovation of the Brazilian Mining Sector – ADIMB and designed to be the appropriate environment to foster interaction of industry professionals with the academia and government sectors to proactively discuss the major advances, current challenges and the future of mineral exploration and mining in Brazil.
The SIMEXMIN 2024, now in its 11th version, will take place on May 19th – 22nd, in person, at the Parque Metalúrgico “Augusto Barbosa” Convention Center, in the town of Ouro Preto (Minas Gerais state), Brazil. The event will bring technical sessions with talks delivered by industry, academia and government experts, as well as international keynote speakers, on a broad variety of key themes related to mineral exploration and mining in Brazil.
Concurrent with the technical sessions, there will be the ExpoSIMEXMIN 2024, with trade show booths where private companies, government and suppliers will be able to exhibit their products and services, in addition to networking and business opportunities.
The event will also include: (1) a poster session with the aim at promoting cutting-edge works on mineral exploration generated by Economic Geology research groups from universities and research institutions in Brazil; (2) the IV National Meeting on Economic Geology (IV ENAGE) under the auspice of the Brazil´s SEG Student Chapters; and (3) post-event short courses.
