Founded on July 9, 1996, the Agency for Development and Innovation of the Brazilian Mineral Sector (ADIMB) is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Throughout this period, ADIMB has contributed significantly and effectively to the development of the country’s mineral sector.<\/p>\n

ADIMB, through its activities in the form of events, capacity building courses, collaborative research, development and innovation projects, technical expeditions and field trips, and publications, has established itself as a highly relevant institution for the mineral sector.<\/p>\n

Given the importance of mining, as a result of the energy transition, Brazil, through its significant contribution to the global market, has assumed a strategic position. In 2026, in a highly competitive mineral environment, both for critical minerals and precious metals, ADIMB will hold the XII Brazilian Symposium on Mineral Exploration (SIMEXMIN), from May 17th to 20th, in Ouro Preto, a historic mining town in the State of Minas Gerais.<\/p>\n

The SIMEXMIN is a technical-scientific event designed to foster interaction of the mineral industry, academia and government sectors to proactively discuss the major advances, current challenges and the future of mineral exploration and mining in Brazil.<\/p>\n

The XII SIMEXMIN will feature thematic sessions with the participation of professionals from industry, academia, and government, as well as international experts, covering technical, economic, political, investment, legal, social, environmental, and governance aspects<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_image src=”https:\/\/simexmin.org.br\/2026ing\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/ilustra-apresentacao.jpg” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” border_width_all=”3px” border_color_all=”#FFFFFF” box_shadow_style=”preset2″ box_shadow_horizontal=”3px” box_shadow_vertical=”3px” box_shadow_blur=”9px” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” text_text_color=”#666666″ hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]\n

intrinsically related to mineral exploration and mining in Brazil and in other regions of the globe. The technical program during the XII SIMEXMIN 2026 will also include a poster session with the aim at promoting cutting-egde works on Economic Geology generated by research groups from universities and research institutions in Brazil. This will be complemented by the 5th National Meeting on Economic Geology (V ENAGE) in partnership with the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG), as well as post-event short courses covering topics relevant to the mineral sector.<\/p>\n

In this context, ADIMB invites companies, institutions, and entities operating in the Brazilian mineral sector to attend the 12th SIMEXMIN 2026 to discuss the advances and challenges in mineral exploration and mining in the country.<\/p>\n
