GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Guidelines for Abstract Submission
The guidelines for preparing abstracts must be strictly followed. Abstracts will be reviewed, and corrections may be requested from the authors.
- Submissions must be made exclusively via the platform.
- Payment of the registration fee is mandatory for submission and presentation of the paper and subsequent publication in the event proceedings. Please note: Payments made via boleto may take up to 48 hours to clear.
- The poster presenter (indicated on the platform) must be duly registered for the event to access the symposium and present the paper.
- The author will be notified of the approval of the paper and instructions regarding the date/time for poster assembly and presentation according to the schedule.
Submissions must follow the following guidelines:
- All communication between authors and the Event organizers will occur through the platform available on this website, where identification fields and instructions for submitting abstracts are available, or via email at simexmin.trabalhos@adimb.org.br;
- Each registered author may submit up to two (2) abstracts per leading author.
- Abstracts may be submitted in Portuguese or English; We recommend that abstracts in English be reviewed by a qualified professional to avoid delays in evaluation or the need for language corrections.
- The leading author must submit the paper related to one of the thematic areas, from the options available, on the registration platform. The Scientific Committee will prioritize the thematic area chosen by the author, but reserves the right to change it, if necessary;
- The authors authorize the publication of their abstracts in the Symposium Proceedings, without being entitled to any copyright remuneration.
- Only papers approved by the Scientific Committee and with the registration fee paid by the submitting author/co-author and presenter (indicated on the platform) will be presented and published in the Proceedings.
- Incomplete or provisional abstracts will not be accepted. Abstracts that do not comply with the Event Submission Guidelines will be automatically rejected.
- Submission of the abstract and registration for the Symposium represent the authors’ commitment to presenting it at the event, provided that acceptance is confirmed by the Scientific Committee;
- A certificate of accepted work will be made available online to all authors;
Formatting for Submission of Works
- Works should be submitted as a simple abstract (minimum 2,000 characters and maximum 3,500 characters (with spaces), running text (no paragraphs) and justified, with 1.15 spacing, Arial font, size 11 (unless otherwise specified in the template).
- The text should be written using the provided template in a Word for Windows text editor.
- The abstract should include the title (capital letters, bold and centered), authors with affiliations (the presenter’s name should be underlined), the text referring to the abstract, and acknowledgments at the end (optional).
- The text should address the following topics: introduction, objectives, materials and methods, results, discussion, and conclusions. Do not include tables, figures, or references.
